    Some manufacturer & component info

      Helmet Replacement

    • Bell will replace your crashed helmet by providing you with a 30% off a new helmet directly from them
    • 661 has a crash replacement program where you pay about 50% of what you paid for your helmet, e.g. Full Comp is $40 & Pro Bravo is $60
    • Specialized Helmets are covered by a 20% off new helmet crash replacement. You will need to contact their sales at 1.877.808.8154, ask them for the voucher, turn it into your LBS to get the discount.
      Shock Rebuilding

    • Fox charges you $80 - $120 to rebuild your FOX36 Fork (1.800.FOX.SHOX)
    • Trailhead Cyclery will charge you $85 to rebuild the Fox36 Fork as well, and you’ll save on shipping. Basically it’s $60 labor + parts (oil, seals, etc.)
    • Push Industries only rebuilds coil shocks & forks (http://www.pushindustries.com)
      Frame Replacement

    • Santa Cruz will replace your frame at minimal cost, even if it was your fault
    • Specialized Bikes has a frame trade-in program that will allow you to trade in your old frame for a newer frame for about $1200
      Miscellaneous

    • The 2005 Enduro S-Works has a 68mm bottom bracket, whereas the 2006 Enduro S-Works has a 73mm bottom bracket
    • Torque all your bolts to spec, especially shock bolts. Under tightening can lead to ovaling of the bolt. (see other page for torque specs on SC Heckler & others)
    • Santa Cruz Bikes guarantees all bearings for life, on all bike models, to the original owner. We will offer free replacements in exchange for Proof of Purchase AND your old bearings.
